We Lose an Enthusiastic Fund Raiser, and a Dear Friend
 On 17th March, 2004, Anne was with us at the International Restaurant helping to run the Quiz and Bingo night. On Saturday 20th she collapsed, and was rushed to hospital in Argostoli. Later that day she was airlifted to the ICU in Ioannina, where she died a few days later.
Anne had a real zest for life, and was always laughing. This winter she had thrown herself into learning Greek dancing, taking extra lessons from Niki, as well as attending the dancing class in Sarlata. A member of the fund raising committee, she helped to organise most of our fund raising events, as well as producing articles for this web site. Above all, she was a dear friend to many of us islanders, both Greek and English, and will be deeply missed by us all. Our sympathies go to her partner, Pat, and all her family.
