More of Sharon’s Skala Stories

Holidaymakers Gareth and Ruth found Anastasia shivering in the road near the Galaxy supermarket.  They couldn’t find mum and were determined to give her a future so they offered to be her last line of defence if no home could be found locally.

In other words, they would agree to take her on and pay whatever it took to get her back to the UK.

In the meantime, however, Nicky was planning a KATs fundraising event and decided to take the kitten down on the day to try and find her a home. It worked. Another tourist, Paul (dressed as ‘Miss Skala’ in the photo), fell madly in love with Anastasia, named her and is currently making arrangements for her quarantine and transport back to his home.

Relieved that her future was assured, Gareth & Ruth still wanted to help the other Skala strays. They bought 100 euros worth of cat food to be used for winter feeding and donated a further 100 for us to spend where we feel it will do the most good.
