Bottling Blood

Pat talks about her strange obsession...

(June 19, 2004) If anyone out there knows how to bottle blood I would be very interested, I am seriously considering having Carole’s bottled!

She had the courage to go round Lassi dressed as a cat to collect from the bars, and made a staggering 109.46 €.

Not bad, but she should have been dressed as a dog with a bone. She has been determined to get us permission to collect at the airport, and where many had tried and given up, Carole refused to let go, and finally managed to get the permission this last week.

We went on Saturday evening for the first time and collected 95.00 € from one flight, and on Sunday, with lots of help we collected over 800.00 €. The dogs had Kefalonia Animal Trust coats, courtesy of Jenny and her magic sewing machine and skill, and were a great hit, they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Tessa checked out the suitcases just in case she wanted to be a sniffer dog. Later on she got close to her very first coach, and you could see she was now going to be a coach driver, but... when she saw her first aeroplane close up, she had a complete change of heart: she is definitely going to be a pilot! Much better salary so we will encourage this!

Watch this site for updates, we will get that shelter built!

[Editor’s note: I just have to mention here that yours truly collected the most on Sunday 20th. Dave couldn’t understand why people would walk straight past his outstretched collecting box to put their money in mine. I modestly explained that whereas he is a shifty-eyed old man, I am truly young and handsome.]
