Cinders the Kitten

Cinders

Eilish and Lorna were guests at the Eleana who could hear Cinders crying from their room. She kept it up for 3 days and nights and, as the cries became progressively weaker, they couldn’t stand it any more.

Eventually they tracked her down to a tiny space beneath some iron girders and behind thick foliage. Brave Lorna rescued her by lying on the road, blindly sticking her hand in and feeling about until she got her out – hissing and spitting all the way.

Cinders was feisty but only about 4 weeks old. They wanted to sponsor her to stay at the KATs shelter but it was already overflowing. I was also in no frame of mind to take on any more because two of my own (Fatty and Minnie) had recently been killed by poison.

But… In the way of things out here sometimes you just can’t say no.  For one thing well, look at her and for another Eilish & Lorna were generous enough to fund her vaccinations and neutering. Needless to say Cinders has now well and truly taken up residence and as the only female in a house full of males she’s quite the queen bee.
