When we asked if we could use the Agia Pelagia School in Svoronata to hold a jumble sale, we were told that we were welcome. In fact we could have the use of it at any time, for coffee mornings, parties and so on.
What made it especially useful is that we were allowed to go in the day before and set everything up. As well as jumble we had the usual knitted, crocheted and other hand made goods on offer, and Donna very kindly set up a play area for the kids in the small hall.
This year, Jayne made another clown, which we intended to auction like the last one, but there was so much demand that we decided at the last minute to raffle it instead. The draw is to be held at Lambrini’s Eleios Taverna in Argostoli, on December 23rd, and Donna’s husband, Panayiotis, has persuaded the deputy mayor of Argostoli to draw the winning ticket (another excuse for a party!).
