The Rescue of Mugga

Mugga

When I first saw Mugga he was tied to a tree, surrounded by piles of his own faeces and surviving on just a few slices of bread a day.

The initial intention was to rehome him in Germany so KATs paid to have him neutered and blood tested to be sure he was carrying no disease. Fortunately, the test result proved negative but it revealed that Mugga was dangerously anaemic as a result of a flea infestation. He was also severely underweight.

Armed with supplies from the charity I treated him for fleas, wormed him and began daily visits to change his water, clear the surrounding area and feed him biscuits and tinned food. He soon gained weight, reveled in the attention and is now a healthy happy dog.

In the end he never made it to Germany, he stayed with a family in Skala and is now living with them at their house as a proper pet.
