You Can Help

Some of you out there may be wondering how you can help the charity. It doesn’t matter if you live locally or abroad, we can always do with your help.

The obvious thing that springs to mind is to make a cash donation or to sponsor an animal, but that isn’t always the answer; there are many other ways in which you can help.

Knitting, Sewing and Crochet Patterns
and Materials.

We have a group of volunteers making crocheted and knitted toys and garments, both for sale, and for the animals! Of course nobody charges for this, but we still have to buy the raw materials, which can be very hard to obtain (especially at a reasonable price!) here on the island. It’s very cheap to post such items from the UK (you can squash them into a jiffy bag and send by normal letter post) and, of course, as they weigh very little and take up hardly any space, they are a good way of filling any odd corners of your suitcase, if you are coming on holiday!

Comforters for Puppies & Kittens

For our furry friends we find we are often short of toys for them to play with. Some of our strays find it easy to chew through a kennel, which means we are lucky if a rubber bone lasts a week. Do you have a toy that one of our puppies or kittens could play with?

Fund Raising Suggestions

Fund raising ideas are a constant problem. Can you come up with a cheap and effective idea in which we could raise more cash?  The daftest idea we’ve come up with so far, is a Proxy Party. It works like this:

  • Not everyone can get to our fund raising parties, especially if they are 1500 miles away, but we don’t want anyone to feel left out.
  • So, for the next party we plan to sell proxy tickets. The idea is that you buy a proxy ticket for half the price of a real ticket. We then nominate someone who is going anyway to be your proxy. Tell us your favourite drink, and your proxy will drink it on your behalf!
  • After the party, we’ll even e-mail you a picture of the party and let you know what a good time you had..

Of course, we are also grateful for money!
If you would like to help us financially, you may do so in any of the following ways:-

        • Sponsor one or more cats and/or dogs
        • Make a simple donation
        • Become an associate member
